Leicester won the game 11-3 with the other Tuilagi brother scoring the try. I think the thing that people are more vexed off about is that the touch judge got it completely wrong and he could of easily said he missed it instead of going on what he seen in the corner of his eye and the ref could of asked the video ref. It was replayed on the big screen as Ashton was walking off so the ref and touch jusdge must of seen the mistake they had made. Ashton did well to stay on his feet after that 3rd shot though
Yeah, but from the way he's determinedly burned his bridges with Rugby League, as if his future is 100% Rugby Union (and bear in mind, Jason Robinson he ain't!), I'd suggest that Ashton hasn't got many brains to rattle around.
In fact I know he hasn't, from those who are personally acquainted with him.
The fact that Tuilagi had to hold Chris Ashton on his feet after the 3rd punch make it all the sweeter.
Tuilagi was obviously expecting a bit more resistance from Ashton and seemed concerned that the little flower looked all dizzy and dazed.
Even better was when one of the Northampton players consoled him after his walloping, Ashton buried he head in the blokes chest like a baby with its mother
According to the Sunday papers the touch judge Robin Goodliffe didnt see the punches.
This is understandable as they are trained not to see forward passes as well.
Of is it just that forward passes and full-blooded punches in the face are not as important to Union officials as the multitude of technicalities and scrum and ruck infringements they need to constantly look out for?
Clearly you are still very upset by what happened on Friday night.
Take some advice - rather than chipping away at Wigan fans, who couldn't care less about your opinion because you guys are frankly flyspecks beneath our notice - I would concentrate on making improvements to your own team.
The very first thing you could do is try to get rid of your players' beer bellies. After that you could perhaps do some proper fitness training that goes beyond twice around the pitch and then into the bar to drink warm, flat, weak beer. Then you might consider looking in a rugby league manual to try to understand what the game is all about. After that, you could make some kind of public declaration to the effect that that you no longer recognise the protection of Sky TV, so if you deserve to be relegated you will in fact be relegated. Once you've grown a pair sufficient to do that, we might contemplate heeding your advise on peripheral, unimportant issues. 50 years down the line from there, so long as you continue to make a real effort, we might listen to your opinion on something RL-related.
On a touchline somewhere watching Wigan St Patricks under 10's

So, Chris Ashton cops a high tackle and then gives his tackler one on the floor antd then gets seriously tw***ed in return.....seems about right. Give him his due though he has a different decision making process to Ryan Bailey, although from Ashtons persepctive maybe it was a little flawed.
Ashton v Big bloke, on floor facing away, who may retaliate

The touch judge said Ashton threw punches aswell thats why he got sinbinned aswell. Poor Chris got absolutley hammered and then got sinbinned for his troubles haha!

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
No, just made yourself look silly, but every credit for coming to a board where you may learn something...
just watched the incident.... Hilarious, he was ok pushing the guy when he was on the floor, but looked a total dork when the guy got up... sheesh
Do we read anything into the fact that none of Ashton's team-mates dived in?
Or are they also part of the very small clique of people - thus far consisting only of the referee and linesmen (out of the entire population of the planet) - who didn't see anything?
