Went to FC Halifax Town vs Lancaster City today, top of the table clash in the Unibond 1st Division.

Over 3000 there to see a decent performance from Fax who won 4-0 to leapfrog Lancaster at the top of the table, hard to judge the standard when it's such a one sided scoreline but Fax played some reasonable stuff at times.

Very poor result for City today 1-1 at home to Grays. Looks like we will be playing non-league football again next season as we are most probably going to have to go through Luton to get to the final.

So? Luton have 11 men of equal standard to our players playing in 2 big games. Why are they going to suddenly be monumentally hard to beat? I'd rather play Luton than Oxford.

Last time we were in play-offs we showed fight and spirit in 3 crucial game in the final league games vs Burton, Southport and Oxford and won all 3. We then bottled the play-offs and had 3 shots in 180 minutes. If that's how form works, i'd rather lose 3 in a row going into the play-offs

You are honestly confident we can make it through Oxford or Luton? I fancy our chances more against Oxford but the fact of the matter is we have ran out of steam. Take that 2 month period of the season when we had the winning streak, even then we were playing poorly but getting remarkably lucky, we have been distinctly average. I would love to see us go up but I just don't think Foyle has the confidence to really go for it in the big games. Our squad is easily good enough, I'm just not convinced our manager is. Been saying this all season

Yeah but it just doesn't matter. At the End of the day there's 2 games of 11 vs 11 and our players are capable. The best teams are 'lucky' to an extent, you see it in every league, you earn luck. Being 13 points in the play-offs is no coincidence. I think this team could have gone all the way yes, but it's over with now is my main argument. So many fans saying we're screwed against Luton etc I just don't get it. All we have to do as fans now is turn up for 2/3 massive games and be positive. I don't see what's so hard about that.

Well done southport. Little upset about the whole farsley thing. We would have won the league if it wasnt for them going bust

Just seen some clips / pictures from FC's youth day on Saturday. Looks like it was a class day.

Good to see the club invite Chester fans up for the game to show them the success of running your own club, reading around shows that they enjoyed the day out and were touched by the FC fans' hospitality and applauding as they left. 8)

Guiseley up as Champions too, so at least that prevents the standard midday Police-fest next season.

Nice to see the Luton fans are gracious in defeat.

That's gotta be a points deduction for the start of next season.

Aye. I'd of been there had it not been for work. Luckily my friends who went all got out safely. Can see one of em on the Sky coverage. He's basically stood there in disbelief. Knowing the FA it will be a fine and a strongly worded letter.
