Was disapointed with Hardys one dimensional performance...that bloody left hook over and over again..and a couple of cringe worthy takedown attempts..never hardly covered up just letting lytle pick him off at will..a good fight for the neutral,as a supporter it was hard to watch..apart from one or two decent shots lytle never looked like losing that fight imo
I just dont get Hardy anymore, really dissapointed last night. Becoming more and more a one dimensional British fighter when hes had the time out to improve the areas where he needed to work on. Just prior and maybe just after the St Pierre fight, Hardy was the P4P British No 1 MMA Fighter, both in stature and popularity and had took over Bisping in that role. Now, god knows where he lies. Hes now been offered one more fight with the UFC but isnt sure on when he wants to take it. Hell Dan, get an opponent booked sharpish for the UK event over here, fight in front of your home crowd, feel the atmosphere and the reason why so many fans turn out to watch you and hopefully you might be able to restore some of the pride you showed prior to the St Pierre fight which in all honesty, looks like its derailled your career when it should have done totally the opposite.
I suspect Hardys been given 1 more fight for that reason...the UK card! If he turns it down i expect that would be the last of him in the UFC.
For me he just hasnt developed at all since the GSP fight...iv always prefered Paul Daley to be honest and i think if Lytle would have stood an banged with him it would have been Lytle on the losing end well before the 3rd round....very disapointed with Hardy and even if he is on the UK card i reckon they will give him a bum.
It appears to me, as though Hardy is working so hard at other areas of his game, that he's neglected his hands, hence he doesn't look as good in the stand up as he used to.
It'd have been interesting to see what would have happened had it gone the distance though. I had the fight 1-1 going into the last round, it was a lot closer a fight than many gave credit for.

I would of had it 29 28 Lytle on points...caught Hardy with a lot more as the fight went on.....as for concentrating on other areas of his game i fail to see any improvement what so ever since the GSP fight....4 fights against a variety of skilled opponants and has looked out of his depth on each occasion....no takedown defence/attack, no ground game, strikings gone backwards... Might do well in K1!
It has to be said...Anderson Silva is by far and away the best fighter the world has ever seen! He just beats up the best in the world and makes it look so easy!
I thought Ross Pearson was robbed in his fight, had him winning 29-28, classic case of homer judges!
Would also like to thank which idiot bookie gave me odds against on Nogeuira, was always a class above!
Good news for UFC 138...Pascal Kraus is injured, and replaced by Matt Brown! I love watching Matt Brown, he's just a horrible bloke, always comes for a great brawl!
Diego Sanchez has broke his hand and will be replaced by Josh Koscheck to fight Matt Hughes in a few weeks. Is it possible to root for the draw in a fight?!
