Thought No Surrender was a good PPV, so much better than the mess Victory Road was.

You can tell that the creative team is more settled, they have got the agents they want in place. You marry that with the fantastic talent they have and it makes for a much better event.

I have to say that Taz is fantastic as well, he's great at telling the story and helps you get more interested. It also helps put a bit less pressure on Tenay, and Tenay is actually better for having Taz there rather than Don West. I think he's better than he was on Smackdown! and ECW.

Funny moment when Taz and Foley were both on commentry and they hinted about McMahon's shouting down people's ears.

Yeah loved that bit too. Din't manage to see all the event but was quite impressed with what did catch. :) Thought Daniels v Joe for example was a good match. :)

Hey so what's the deal with Taz mate? I.e. last I read he was Joe's manager in the MEM, so how'd he switch to commentary? :? You're right though, he does a great job, and IMO brings a more big-time feel to the show having had nearly 10 years WWF/E commentating experience. :)

From Hull and now trying to spread the RL word in Liverpool, and failing dismally.

Just watched Big Daddy v Giant Haystacks on ESPN Classics. What a load of rubbish. As soon as Haystacks fell out of the ring the referee couldn't count to 10 quick enough.

We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky
And we're always the last when the cream is shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

Some stories floating around.

Chris Jericho has questioned the current split in the roster and again said that the 'E needs to push new talent soon. He believes over reliance on - and too much power given to - Wrestlers who are essentially in the twilight of their careers is what killed WCW. If the WWE is to continue business, he says they need to push the mid card on RAW to the extent that they do on Smackdown and that it wouldn't be a bad thing for some guys to work both shows, as the roster lacks the depth for three shows.

Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer has reported this week that Bret Hart is in talks with the WWE over his possible return to the company. Word is that apparently talks began around the time Vickie Guerrerro left WWE.

Speaking of Vickie Guerrerro, she is due to appear on the 10th Anniversary Smackdown Special.

Chavo posted a drunken rant on twitter, criticising fans who gave him stick for jobbing to Hornswoggle. Apparently, he questioned their sanity if they thought Wrestling was 'real' in the sense of winning and losing. He apologised the next day.

Rey Mysterio is releasing a book in November, too.

Recently bought the Shawn Michaels Heartbreak and Trumph 3 disc DVD set - absolutely fantastic, recommend it to any WWE/HBK fan. 8) A lot of stuff covered that would have been brushed over (if talked about at all) years ago e.g. his drug problems in the 90's/early 2000's. It's really moving to see how he turned his life around and made the comeback of all-time from 2002-now.
Fully deserved place in the Hall of Fame awaits.

Does it talk about his disgraceful side-stepping of various jobs in the 90's?

This isn't a dig, it's a genuine question.

I agree about his Hall Of Fame place. He's just about the greatest in-ring worker in the last 20 years, certainly in the US.

A little bit, e.g. Stonecold says something like "He wasn't keen on letting go of that belt". Tbf though they prob do skip over it a bit.

After some american football training yesterday, i've begun walking like the Great Khali.

Lauren Mayhew will be announcing on Smackdown apparantly, so looks like Justin Roberts may be heading to Raw

Looks like there's a fair chance that the Rock and Bret Hart will be coming back to a WWE ring soon.

Will be good just to hear the 'pops'.
