Backlash was a mixed bag last night.

It started well, Christian, Swagger, Jericho and Steamboat all delivered and had good matches.

It went downhill with a real stinker between Kane and CM Punk, for the second year in a row Punk has the briefcase and has been buried by poor booking, you do wonder what the point is.

The I Quit match was another disapointment, it was on it's own a decent little match, but there wasn't enough brutality for a supposed feud ender.

The 6 man tag was over long and slow, I reckon it went about 30 minutes. The hot finish saved it from being a total dud, and it is awesome to see Orton as champion, he's been the best thing on the roster for a year now.

The main event was a very good match, hopefully Cena takes a while off TV now.

orton champion how did that happen

Got to say, Ricky Steamboat at the age of 56 is still a better wrestler than the likes of Cena, great match with Jericho.

I thought Backlash was fairly decent for a free show.

Swagger and Christian had a good match.

Another great performance by steamboat.

Thought the I Quit match was good. Matt broke his hand in the match so they will probably play it out on Raw tonight as if the plan was for the loser to quit their job, not the match.

Nice to see Orton win the title. HHH punted in the head - does this mean he's taking time off? I think everyone else who has been punted so far has had about 6 weeks minimum off so far.

Cena vs Edge had some good spots which made it enjoyable, although I was expecting Punk to come out when Edge was celebrating on the ramp.

The Santino and Khali thing was pointless but still pretty funny. It looked like JR was going to punch Cole in the face though when he was laughing at santina saying JR is his lover

Got to agree with all the Summaries. If Kane hadn't beaten Punk pretty easily then he'd have no credibility left.

raw started off pretty good last night, good address by orton, cracking interuption by mvp who got a good reaction/introduction to raw. Didn't see the match so i hope he didn't get jobbed out too badly.

MVP got most of the offence in, he looked like a potential star.

I'm slowly getting more and more annoyed with John Cena. He got chucked through a searchlight but still appeared on Raw, and only 5 minutes after they had the Miz take the mickey out of him for almost 10 minutes!

Even HHH stayed off TV for a week!

It's not so much John Cena as it's the "creative" team at WWE. They did the same thing with HHH. He storms through everyone on the roster and absolutly destroys them. Which in turn destroys his characters as theres no one left he can credibly have a match with

He needs to go heel badly. I'd have him turn on the fans that booed him and have him basically do the same thing, win all the time, he would get major heat.
