Tallet hadn't pitched for nearly 3 weeks yet Cito doesn't have anyone warming up for him once his count starts to get up there. By the time they had a player ready Tallet had hit the wall and we were well on our way to giving up a massive lead. Once this game hits extra innings it's just a matter of when we'll cough it up. One thing is for certain, we need a closer. Downs is a great reliever but he's no closer.

At least we managed to hang on for the win yesterday thanks to another great outting from the kid Cecil.

Jays have also rejected Phillies latest offer for Halliday.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised given all of the big names being outted as Roid cheats but I couldn't help but be disappointed to hear Papi's name was on the list.

Less than 8 hours to go til the trade deadline and Doc is still a Jay. The rumour mills insists that the Dodgers and Rangers are both chasing hard. The Red Sox rumours appear to have cooled and they are apparently now chasing Matinez. Should be an interesting day. I just hope the Jays don't bottle it an accept a lesser offer.

Does it pain you to know that even with your best hitter on steroids and you still couldnt muster up a challenge for the AL or WS?
