So the fans reaction to any takeover is all down to Moores?
I never bent over for the owners, so I don't know what those that did will do. We've been through this before, or at least I have on here. Not every Liverpool fan got uber excited, but those who did; can you blame them? The way the owners bought us (from right under DIC's nose and apparently very quickly), their early promises, them both being billionaire's and us just getting to a CL final, I felt those fans that were getting giddy had every right to be. We'd been held back by Moores and Parry for too long, we felt it was finally time for us to make up the ground, when they took us over and said spades will be in the ground within 60 days (or whatever they said), we'll back the manager and they shown us their own plans for a stadium, what were fans supposed to think? That they'd milk the club for all its money, pile on debt and not back the manager enough to challenge for major honours?
I would like to think you're baiting, but your persistence tells me you're being slightly serious.

Not baiting. I just think more questions could have been asked regarding their motives at the time of the takeover. Did LFC fans really expect them to build a new stadium and finance enough spending for Liverpool to win the league, yet expect nothing in return?

Also at the time they came in SOS wasn't around SOS being the only good thing to come out of it.
finance enough spending for Liverpool to win the league
Some spending out of there pockets would of been nice.

Of course some people raised questions. I remember people talking about Hicks' past involvement in sports being sketchy. But it isn't our position to ask questions, I mean, what are we supposed to say when two billionaires have just bought the club and made all those promises? We knew very little about them, Moores & Parry talked about how impressed they were with the doing the due diligence or whatever, they came across as impressive and their talk backed up that. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
As for them spending and whatever, well, I wasn't sure what they would do, I thought they would at least begin work on the stadium but that hasn't happened, they have barely given anything out of their own pocket with regards to transfers, which is what we needed to make up the ground.
It's easy to look in hindsight and say "you won't get giddy this time", but some didn't get giddy last time and those that did, their giddiness was justified at the time IMO, even if they do look foolish now.
the summer hols will be interesting in the red half of Liverpool, Either sorted ready for the new season or falling further behind chelsea,Man u, Arsenal and possibly even city, spurs .

Fair points, it just annoys me when football fans are ballooning on tv after takeovers with no questions asked of the new owners (Notts County, Portsmouth etc) then start moaning further down the line when things don't go to plan. Will be interesting to see the SOS reaction to any new owners as they weren't around for the last takeover. Will they be shown to be all hot air or will they show any substance?

Not as annoying as the Man United Socialists who want the £1bn club to be given back to them, when they weren't interested in taking over the club at £20m. They weren't interested in taking over the club when Knighton wanted it. They weren't interested in taking over the club after Murdoch's bid was rejected by the Govt. It takes the Glazer's to buy the club for £700m, then they want the club in their hands.
Liverpool were the loudest voices regarding Chelsea having no history and "not being Chelsea anymore" after Abramovich bought the club. They were among the loudest voices saying that Chelsea had bought the title and that it meant nothing. They then couldn't get on their knees quick enough when some rich guys came to town and said they'd give them what they wanted. They totally deserve the shafting they've received from the Weetabix boys. I only hope they get screwed with their next buyers as well. Totally deserved, the scouse ********.
