DANNY LOCKWOOD - LEAGUE WEEKLY (18-5-09)

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

Who did come out with credit tonight?
I think Terry did, Johnson did.....now I'm struggling...Barry was OK.
I think that the players aren't happy at the starting line up with Heskey on and it's eroding confidence,....the man gets chances and squanders them on the back of sweat from other players.

Johnson has impressed me in both games. Ashley Cole didn't do much wrong, Barry started well but faded no doubt through being knackered from covering Terry and Carragher arses on more than one occasion.

couldn't understand before the game why we don't play 4-5-1 with rooney up front and gerrard floating behind but after watchin the scouse gob sh*te (You earn Sh*t loads of cash and the fans out there have spent loads following you to south africa so they have every right to boo you if you don't like it then bugger off) this evening i'm at a loss to what is best for england now even more but they can't continue with 4-4-2 and gerrard and lampard playing within that formation.

Perhaps he is a double agent for the Italian side after all.

Good job we tied him up before the World Cup started

How ironic Rooney questioning the loyalty of the fans. Mr Everton blue through and through, oh hang on, is that Man United at the door.

To$$er.

Quite simply that was the worst England game I've ever watched, the players don't seem to have even met before walking on the pitch, everyone looks scared to make a mistake,Rooney first touch has been lost on the flight over and doesn't even look 60% fit.The side are direction less and devoid of ideas, everyone's looking at the next guy for inspiration. The team that looked so good in qualifying have disappeared, sure there have been a lot of injured players but who we bring should be good enough.Luckily it is still in the players hand, win and we go through and then hopefully they find form.

Drop Lampard to the bench, he never plays well for England. Keep Gerrard and Barry in the middle and introduce Joe Cole on one side and stick lanky boy Crouch up front with Defoe. Yes thats correct Rooney isnt fit and needs leaving out until he's ready. I still cant fathom how on earth Emile stayed and Bent is sat on a beach somewhere.

The italian mafia needs to grow a pair a make the right decisions for the country.
