I don't care about individual honours as they're all based on opinion, and as you see sometimes opinion is blinkered with sentiment. I just find it pretty silly that our player of the year has started 12 games in a season, how is he a match for the others in terms of consistency and so on? He's actually started 24 games this season and featured in 40 so that's a bit unfair.

It's a PFA award so we have to think that professional footballers know more than you (shudder) and me (double shudder). I accept that sentimentality may have assisted a bit but it's not as if they started a Facebook group to make sure all the votes went to Giggs.

The only problem I have with this award is that they vote for it far too early. They should be voting for it now.
