Just where do you stop though if someone puts in a 10 team acca then PedPower will spend more time checking that than all the other entries put together. All the tipping contests I can think of Oddschecker, ATR, Teletext etc are singles only (though with Oddschecker you can tip in as many races as you like a day but they do have a computer programme to deal with that!!!). If it was real money being staked perhaps doubles trebles etc would be valid but as it is supposed to just be a bit of fun the simpler it is kept the better and if you want to show prowess at more fancy bets the Betting Thread will soon pick up on you as someone to follow if you keep reeling off doubles, trebles and better.

Fair enough, don't think anyone would reel off a 10 teamer though! The betting thread is a curse for me! Any selection i post on there duly falls on its booty!

Ok then seems here is where we are so a refresher of the rules................


Start Monday 5th October 2009.


1 bet a day. Tips posted by 2pm.......tips can be posted the night before if you can not get on the net in the day but please mark in bold that they are for the following day to avoid confusion.

£10 mythical single.

Any sport. Sports odds must be offered by Bet 365 whose price will be the one that winnings are calculated on. You must quote the price and any handicap mark on your tip post. Horse racing and Greyhound bets settled at SP.

Events must finish on the day it is posted (or overnight in the case of US sports)...ie no pre-golf tournament outrights, test matches etc for ease of compiling the results.

Horses and dogs win only. Greyhounds need to be named and the Trap Number given and if they are non runners the reserve will not count.

Football Home Win/Away Win/Draw only (90 mins).

Rugby, Speedway, US Sports. Handicap Singles or outright singles.

Darts, Tennis, Motor Racing, Snooker, Golf 2 or 3 balls win only (no handicap bets allowed).

Anyone selecting a non runner can make a replacement selection as long as it is posted before 2pm

Bets on races before 2pm are allowed but must be posted at least 5 minutes before the advertised off time. Horse racing results determined on the official result not first past the post.

Any selections where the post has been edited will not be accepted and it will forefit your go for that day. If you make a mistake post separately and explain why the first one should not count.


Pedpower to collate the figures and decide if each selection is vaild.


Winning returns to be declared exclusive of the £10 stake




[Also it is probably best to keep comments and banter on the thread to the evening/night once we are up and running as too many superfluous posts when tips are being put up in the morning and early afternoon will just make Pedpower's job harder and could lead to tips being missed.]

As stated before can we please not put the price of a horse or dog up as it may be sometime before i can check the tips price which may of changed, in the rules it says sp from p.a offical results.

Just dont want somebody complaing if a horse he sees at 10am on early bird price at 5/1 wins at 2/1.

And before people kick up a fuss the reason is not being awkward or penalizing those who tip horses just the effect Rule 4 will have on a day to day basis.
