I agree that people shouldnt be allowed to walk in them thats just stupid, but according to the feller thats just been on all the players knew the rules so what else can they do?

True, it's just ridiculous. I mean look at how sandy the whole course is. Just a shame such an entertaining tournament will be remembered for that.

Well the tournament is back here in 2015 and then 2020 for the Ryder cup so it will be very interesting to see if they change the rules

I think they will probably remove a lot of the outlying bunkers. Especially where spectators walk.

Watching the golf coverage on sky. Anybody else get the feeling that Montgomerie is going to be a car crash at the Ryder Cup?

After watching, and cringing throughout, Faldo's opening ceremony speech last time, he doesn't have much to live up to. Tough decision this week though

Re: The Open Championship : Sun Aug 29, 2010 9:40 am
I think he will be a great captain because all the players respect him and hes the same with them IMO, but hes never been a great "people person" has he so even if we win the Ryder cup by 10 points hes in for a rough time from the press because hes never got along with them. They cant really do much now because of the injunction he got against them, but it wouldnt suprise me if they dig some story up to upset him!

They should just leave him be until after the tournament, but we all know they wont :SHOOT:

Like has been said he cant be as bad as Faldo or even Hal Sutton was for them he was just a joke

Re: The Open Championship : Sun Aug 29, 2010 7:26 pm
Monty picks Eduardo Molinari, Padraig Harrington and Luke Donald for the Ryder Cup team. Casey and Rose not in the team.

I would have personally have left out Harrington and picked Justin Rose, Harrington is living on past reputation/victories IMO whereas Justin Rose is in form and has won twice recently!

Casey must be gutted too but I have no sympathy for someone who chooses to play in the US instead of qualify by rights, at least Donald had the balls to come over and play and it payed of big time with his win and it could have been more!
