| Everton have dominated City so far. It could quite easily be more than 2-0 at half time, although I can't believe that Everton were awarded the penalty, even Saha thought the lino had given the foul against him.

Clear as day penalty for me. Only doubts were the initial contact being outside of the box, utterly idiotic from Richards. Seriously, what on earth was he thinking.

| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"I take it he refereed Liverpool's latest stunning performance? Was he at fault for the 16 poor players on show as well
Alright, my posts about Rafa have been slightly exagerrated, but since the LFC fans seem to defend the players and think they are good enough, what do they make of their performances of late? Todays performance sounded abysmal on the radio commentary with Aldridge mentioning hearts the size of peas a few times. It was again not a showing by a set of players determined to prove the doubters wrong and to stick up for their manager. Do the players want Rafa out one wonders?'"
Today we were generally average, again. You would think it was a game between Stoke and Blackburn with the quality of football on show. Nothing from the midfield, two full backs as wingers and a headless chicken supporting N'Gog up front. N'Gog struggled all the way up there on his own, his teammates seemed scared to go near him at times.
We should have won, we done enough to win and Kuyt, well, that miss speaks for itself, utterly woeful footballer.

My only thought was that you see them all the time in every game and they never get pulled up. Even Saha didn't think he'd got a penalty. Richards was very daft. Not as daft as the City wall for the Piennar free kick, it just dissappeared.
On another note, since when did it become an ejectable offence to have banners at football games?

You do, and they're never punished. It was nice to see the linesman made the decision, maybe the idiot who missed Lucas' clear as day penalty should take a few notes.
The wall was shocking, the free kick wasn't much higher than 5 foot and there wasn't much pace or dip to it, just accurately placed.
Everton battered City, City had nothing in midfield or attack, they were bullied for the majority of the game, even 'fearless' Nigel de Jong was dominated by Fellaini and co.

| You have to wonder about Citeh when it gets cold. They need to man up if they are ever going to step up to join the big boys. Everton were good today, but none of the other big clubs, Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal etc would have rolled over like that.

Ask 27,000 people. I'm sure most Stoke fans wouldn't agree with Rafa.

City's first decent opponent under Mancini and they get beat, must be all the wine and pizza they had before the game.

Rumours of 6,000 plus protest midweek and a possible stayaway for the Hull City game. From two different callers on 606, one claiming to be a season ticket holder.

Rumours are loads of LUHG banners, chants etc at City, then a stand-out for a bit at the Hull game. They also want a 5-10 minute stand out in front of SMB statue versus AC Milan with the world's cameras on the game.
There's another MUST/IMUSA meeting next Saturday, same time, same place.
I can't believe some fans were chucked out for the LUHG banner, surely they must've known that word would go around about this, which will inevitably lead to more in the future.
They're also trying to get more people boycotting the Megastore, food, beer and programmes in the future.
The chanting got some media attention: Quote Catalancs="Sky Sports"Chants of "We want the Glazers out" from the Stretford End emphasised the debt mountain being carried by the Red Devils but there are also concerns about the strength of Sir Alex Ferguson's team.'"

| Just seen Rafa's new rant about the 27000 people and it is truly cringe worthy. Perhaps more embarrassing than his facts. Fair play to the sky lad for trying to get a straight answer out of him but he wasn't budging!

To be honest, the first call on Lucas was shocking. Higginbotham should have been sent off today, the tackle on Lucas and the foul that resulted in our goal both warranted bookings IMO. He also got the assist on their equalizer. I know I sound bitter, but the referees were very incompetent today, in times like these, we're desperate for anything, any bit of luck we can get, any call, but we're just not getting them.

We need to master the art of tackling like Lee Carsley. Slide in, don't get the ball but do enough to block the run of the player, denying him a goal
As far as I'm concerned, N'Gog made that more theatrical than needs be, but I don't think Carsley deserved to get away with such a poor tackle that denied a goalscoring opportunity without getting the ball.

It's happened at least 3 times to us this season when a player has gone down after clear contact in the box and the ref waves it away.

| Pretty lazy from Lineker, he can have his own opinion but he's just stirring.
As for Jones, fingers crossed it isn't true. I've never rated him, although I'd like to get rid of Babel, Jones wouldn't strike me as a good replacement.

| Kenwyne Jones isn't worth £18m, but Liverpool desperately need a new striker especially now Torres is out. He'd fit in well at Liverpool with his inconsistencies.

Agree with you on both counts. Where would you like to see Liverpool strengthen?
Is it true that Hyypia is playin in the Bundesliga? Why on earth was he allowed to leave if the best you could replace him with was Kyrgiakos?

Hyypia's playing well. Last time I looked at the bundesliga table, which was a few months back, Leverkusen had the best defence in the league. I think Hyypia was allowed to leave because the club only wanted to give him a year extension, whilst Leverkusen had offered two years. Naturally, Hyypia accepted the challenge and we wished him well. Was gutted to be honest, he wasn't quick but the fella was so underrated. I think Rafa hoped a better replacement was available, we made moves for Shawcross and Turner but the board wouldn't finance such moves.
Where would I like to see us strengthen? I don't think January is the time to do it, but, if we're after a quick fix, a striker is needed, but not somebody like Jones who I don't think is good enough. The Echo says we're close to agreeing a deal for Chamakh, but that won't be until the summer so we're still lacking something. Ideally, Babel would step up to the plate and we wouldn't need anybody, but that won't happen so I'd like to get a striker who could possibly play out wide. I'd like to see Nemeth brought back from his loan, too. However, come the summer, I'd like to see a massive clear out. Kyrgiakos, Degen, Kuyt, Lucas, Babel, maybe even Riera, I'd like to see leave. Problem is, unless the owners dip into their own pockets, then I can't see how the club could possibly strengthen on those positions.

One of the better Premier League defenders in my opinion.
