Didn't Cantona's trial at Wednesday coincide with a period of snow? My memory is of Wednesday asking him to stay for a longer trial so they could look at him more and Cantona leaving in a huff.

And I'd say that Wednesday's failure to sign Cantona after the trial isn't as embarrassing as Leeds United gift to Man United of him.

Torres

Personally I think Lampard was player of the year and I'm baffled that he isn't in the team of the year.

Nope, not at all. We didn't need penalties to beat Liverpool, Villa or Boro and we more than matched Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last Wed.

I was a bit surprised Torres was in tbh as he was out for most of the 1st half of the season

The games he has played he has been quality. It shouldn't be judged by how games you play, it's what you do in those games.
