World's best striker finally up and running in the tournament to level it up.

Superb ball from Kjaer to set the move up, oh for a centre-half who can do that for England.

Did you see it last week where they interviewed a few people in a bar saying how they are really knowledgable here. I can't remember the exact quote but it was extremely patronising, and that comment certainly would not have been said if it was to some English people.

As for this game, can't really look past the draw.

The whole punditry surrounding the tournament has been shocking, not just for football opinion, but the social commentary they have tried to take part in providing, Alan Shearer's trip around a township the other night was the last I'll watch.

There was an article in The Times today about African rivalry (which you wouldn't think existed listening to TV and radio), as it said in there - would England or Germany ever have a goal described as being "for Europe". I work with a Nigerian woman and she has been getting similarly daft comments at work "you must be happy Ghana won" - to which she replied "why I'm not from Ghana" which seemed to shock the person asking.

10 goals in his last 15 games.

100% shot conversion rate in the WC.

A legend is being born.

I really wish the commentators and pundits would give up with the patronising nonsense whenever an African team (except Algeria, they haven't seemed to cotton on that they too are African, wonder why?) do anything.

Eto just scored for the whole of Africa apparently, not Cameroon.

Beglin just said then that there was 'nearly a goal for the Africans'.

When Lampard had a shot last night, did they say it was 'nearly a goal for the Europeans'?

Did the England fans ever apologise to Beckham for hanging effigys of him in the street? England fans are prize bakes. Rooney was spot on.
