The season started last night and the Blackhawks started today with a shootout loss to the Panthers in Helsinki.

My prediction this season is a Calgary/Philadelphia Stanley cup final with Philly winning the cup.

Blueshirts drop to the Pens 3-2 in the opener in Pittsburgh. Home game tonight at 00:00 BST against Ottawa at the garden. Then on Monday another season long rivalry with the Devils begins in Jersey.

Chicago bounced back from the SO loss yesterday to beat the Panthers 4-0 with Niemi getting the shutout.

I decided to sign up for the NHL centre ice package on ESPN360-£70 for the full season,as the chap in the Aviva add says.......Bargain!!!
