I would like to thank Sam who played his last game for the Cougars yesterday and what a way to finish, scoring the 1st try and winning will be something he should be very proud of.

Sam has been in my view the most consistent player when he played and it was very rare he made noticeable errors.

I think his finishing when chances came was very good.

He will be missed not just as a player but off the field a really pleasant chap to talk to.

I wish him all the success in his return to union and whilst not a fan myself I will look out for Otleys results from now on.

Not sure when his book is being published but look forward to it.

Well done Sam, can't believed you were dropped to the reserves in the first place, great to see you score on the day. Best of luck for Union.

It was fairly tale stuff for sure. Scoring a try in his final game in a Grand Final victory.

He was in the reserves, played well, scored trys, got recalled to the 1st team for the latter part of the season and scored some vital tries along the way.

Otley isnt that far. Will go over when I have a free saturday when Otley are at home.
