Pupils of Shipley Church of England Primary School will helping the
Cougar Pride Centre and Keighley Cougars Rugby League Club celebrate an amazing year of success on Friday, December 4.
The scholars will be taking part in a celebration assembly which will be
attended by Shipley's Member of Parliament Philip Davies.
The Cougar Pride Centre is a 'Playing for Success' facility at Keighley
Cougars' stadium, Cougar Park, and it uses Rugby League was a vehicle
with which to deliver lessons under the National Curriculum.
At the assembly the pupils will be celebrating their full attendance at
the Pride Centre; displaying a positive attitude towards their lessons
at the Centre and their acquisition of PAWs points.
Liz Kidman, the Cougar Pride Manager, said; "It's vital that we
recognise when children do well and this celebration is part of that
process.
"We're delighted that Mr Davies will be able to attend the assembly to
see how well the Children and Centre are doing.
"At the Pride Centre we recognise all the qualities that the children
bring with them and like to recognise excellence when it is produced".
On display at the assembly will be the trophy that Keighley Cougars won
when they beat Oldham in the Co-operative Championship One Grand Final at Warrington in October.
