If you think our -9 points was harsh, what about Melbourne Storm.
They have been stripped of their 2007 and 2009 premierships for cheating on the salary cap,
amounting to more than £1 million in the last five years.
Also they have been ordered to pay £950,000 in fines, and will not receive any premiership
points for the rest of the season. Leeds have decliend to ask to for the world championship trophy back.

I've always followed the Storm in the NRL as I've family and friends there.

I've has a few conversations on facebook with some of them and it's the only news story in Australia and the Storm fans amongst the are gutted and angry.

With Billy Slater, Cameron White, Cooper Cronk and Greg Inglis in the squad is it really any surprise they were fiddling the books? They were the galacticos of Rugby League.

Still after our result on Thursday one of them had the cheek to say they'd still get more points then the Cougars this season!

In my opinion it's a fair and proper punishment, it sends a statement out to the rest of the league.

The aussies acted correctly in coming down hard on Melbourne, shows the rfl up somewhat, remember Wigan and the Bulls being over the limit all they got was a telling off.

Feel sorry for the fans & players who dream about playing in/going to Grand Finals & winning them. What happens now?, do the players have to give their winners medals back?. Shame if they do.
