OK, I'll bite...
Everyone is human and makes mistakes, including players and coaches. Without refs there'd be no game. In football every player can make mistakes, except the goalkeeper...because his mistakes result in a conceding a score.
However if you volunteer to step up to the mark to take responsibility you stand to be judged by your performance in any profession. Referees are no different. If your bad decisions even out, then most fans will accept that.
But acceptance of ineptitude serves to lower standards, which is no good to the game and certainly no good to referees. Which is why there is a right and duty to criticise. The criticism by Barry is specific and detailed, so I see no problem in that. I'm sure he's delivered criticism as he sees fit to the team.
