Will we win a game naxt season? : Wed Nov 25, 2009 7:59 pm
Just been on fax forum and just about all of them think we will finish bottom . Gits!!

I know we have signed a few but are we ready to step up?

Personally i think its going to be a very hard slog BUT,i have faith in the team and am sure we will rise to the occasion. With P.Royston back(my mate says hes the dogs b******s)we will last the whole 80 mins.

Win/lose,i love my day out at Cougar park.

Bring em on i say

from what I saw at Warrington you need MAJOR work on defence.
Old'em made quick and easy yards too often.

Hope you get some results (and think you will) but staying up will depend on your ability to hold off teams when their on your line.

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Anon.

We need to improve considerably from last year in most aspects of our play. We have shown potential but not consistency.

We need to be much fitter than last year.

I don't know much about most of the signings to know what they might add to the squad.

I suppose that logically we are favourites to finish bottom. Let's hope the players and coaching staff can do something about that.

We did not have a full squad at the start of last season, it would be good to start this one without picking up injuries in the warm up games.

Oh well, even if we finish bottom - let's enjoy ourselves, eh? A few beers, a bit of noise and some good company...it'll do for me!
(although staying up would be good, too.)

I think we will finish bottom, based on us being the lowest placed team last year, and we have a lot of work to do, plus Tolouse have the exemption still.

I will be delighted if I'm wrong.

The key to staying up will be our home form.

Don't forget your couple of days in the south of France :D

Really tough league next year, if all teams don't turn up week after week they'll get beat. They are no "byes" and I think you'll shock a few a teams.

I think the team will have the physical requirements and possibly the speed to compete at this level but that in itself will not be enough.

Speed of thought and action are key attributes and the nounce to do things which will catch the opposition out.

First and formost, IMO the basic skills of tackling, passing and timing need honing.

The ability to think that if the one man barge player actually gets through that there needs to be someone there in support.

It's easier to kick your way down the field than spend a lot of energy and time slowly working your way down the field. (40 -20's the most underused but potent weapon in the RL arsenal!!!!)

Wingers are members of the team

Don't be predictable.

Practice makes perfect.

Works as team, help your mate and vice versa, not everyone can be a superstar but collectively you can be.

Don't give up trying.

An attitude of mind!

Just remember that the opposition players breathe the same air, and generally use the loo the same way. They are not supermen.

To achieve success on the journey you have to make the first step and have a good idea of where you are going.

The hard work is for the players and the coaching team to make the journy as event free and easy as possible so the final goal can be reached.

That is HARD work but nothing that a dedicated co-ordinated team cannot do.

Its down to the players and coaches.

I think this team may well surprise a few next season!

Look what Barrow did along with Gateshead and 'Fax and Widnes didn't.

I think one of our faults last season was going to sleep for 10-15 minutes each game. Can't afford to do that now!
