I think the team will have the physical requirements and possibly the speed to compete at this level but that in itself will not be enough.
Speed of thought and action are key attributes and the nounce to do things which will catch the opposition out.
First and formost, IMO the basic skills of tackling, passing and
timing need honing.
The ability to think that if the one man barge player actually gets through that there needs to be someone there in support.
It's easier to kick your way down the field than spend a lot of energy and time slowly working your way down the field. (40 -20's the most underused but potent weapon in the RL arsenal!!!!)
Wingers are members of the team
Don't be predictable.
Practice makes perfect.
Works as team, help your mate and vice versa, not everyone can be a superstar but collectively you can be.
Don't give up trying.
An attitude of mind!
Just remember that the opposition players breathe the same air, and generally use the loo the same way. They are not supermen.
To achieve success on the journey you have to make the first step and have a good idea of where you are going.
The hard work is for the players and the coaching team to make the journy as event free and easy as possible so the final goal can be reached.
That is HARD work but nothing that a dedicated co-ordinated team cannot do.
Its down to the players and coaches.
I think this team may well surprise a few next season!
Look what Barrow did along with Gateshead and 'Fax and Widnes didn't.
