and tell the fans exactly what is going on.

Are we going to start on less points, will we lose players?

People say we should support the club and get season tickets which is far enough, but think the club should also be straight with the fans.

give the club chance please mate, I'm sure when it's all ready to go public it will,togetherness is what's needed now, let's not get the cane out yet,as a club we needed to stay together and keep calm.

LoyalFan08 the club will be making a statement at the proper time. I cant see that being long. I fully expect something next week.

I have said this before but will keep saying it, we will not lose any players.

I believe we will have points deducted. Anything up to 9 points is what the RFL can dish out.

The club will be moving forward and with the new directors on board. I fully expect and fully believe the club will come out of this stronger than before.

Losing points already? Blimey! Anyone'd think the RFL have a bias against non SL West Yorkshire clubs...
We'll struggle enough as it is, without any points deduction.
Back s to the wall, get behind the team, etc etc!

Jim, let's start separating the wheat from the chaff.....

What do you mean by "the new directors on board” Are Messrs Spencer and Farrar resigning? Are new people joining the said incumbents or are you referring to the new directors already appointed?

The problem as I see it is that the Club make an official announcement that the "Tax Man" has started proceedings to wind up the Club and we are all told not to worry Neville Chamberlainesque. OBVIOUSLY people will worry. People who are owed money will worry; people who were going to buy season tickets will hold back; sponsors will think twice before handing over money, employees will look towards other employment etc.

If there is no reason to worry, TELL US why and what the great plan is. Why the secrecy?

I know that the Club owe money to more than the tax man and that if they could, they would repay it. Are the club about to come into some money? On the EVIDENCE available, i.e. a statement from the Club, at this time I believe that the club will be put into administration to avoid having to pay monies owed and this will result in points deducted and/or relegation before the season starts, players leaving and fans deserting. If I’m wrong can someone come up with a half decent argument as to why.

Sorry GW but I don't buy into this "Emperors New Clothes" argument. The fans and the creditors deserve explanations, however vague.

My two pennerthworth:

I discussed this issue with jim (guess who) on Thursday, and we both expressed our concerns about the situation. However, I agreed that for now we should do our best to help the club, along with giving as much info to the supporters as is possible at this moment in time. We do have to tread carefully.

However , as one supporter on here as quite rightly stated, this is an independent forum, so people will be allowed to air their concerns , as long as we stay clear of any libellous statements.

I would also add, and this is my opinion alone, that the club needs to clear up the picture this week, for it's own benefit and that of the fans. It won't take long for this to get around the town, and I'm sure it will be twisted in to several differing accounts.

So, they need to get a move on.
