So whats the plans for next season? : Sun Jun 13, 2010 8:30 pm
I am wondering what plans the club has in place for next season.

This season is all but over now. We cannot stay up now. If we lose next week then it really is well and truly over.

I have to say the lads have done well to get us where we are.

Looking forward to next year, when we don't have to worry about -9 points.

Glad to see you are very optimistic for the rest of the season. Mathematically we can still stay up. A bit of faith and support from the mods would be nice- but then again so would a million pounds. Obviously you did not stay in the bar after the game when both the chairman and coach we asking the FANS to support the team and to get behind them.
I hope that the club manages to keep as much of the players as possible for next season and regardless of where we are, we will need to add a few more signings.

Nothing to do with being optimistic, its more to do with being realistic.
I was supporting the team. Thats why i was at the game.
No i did not stop behind after the game, but would you expect them to say anything else.
I to hope we can keep as many of the players as possible.

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

I'm not too bothered about the Widnes game.

Don't get me wrong, I think its important how we perform, but the week after against Leigh is far more vital.

Yes there does need to be plans in place for next season, for all eventualities.

As for this season, I refuse to believe its all over, thats probably because Im just an eternal optimist.

As for next week, I really couldn't give a toss about the result. A good performance would serve us better for the rest of the season.

I have just looked at our fixtures for the rest of the season and we have games againt Batley, Toulouse and Whitehaven, where we have a realistic chance of winning. Having seen our games this season againt Toulouse and Batley, it is possible we turn them over. Whitehaven should be the easier of the three games.
If we do that would give us 9 points and you never know we could possibly get a bonus point.

I know Whitehaven play Dewsbury which isnt ideal as likelyhood is one will get three points but I still believe.

How many would if told with 7 games left we would be 5 points away from possible safety.

It was not to be yesterday some here go all doom and gloom after a loss yes it was disappointing but not over yet.

Once again it could boil down to the 9 point deduction caused by our former chairman :SHOOT:

Was it the fault of the former chairman, or was it the fault of the former board?

Jim without getting into the whole thing again, who was it in the press spouting how well we were doing financially then week after the final the debt miracoulously appears, we all know it was just one man who lied to everyone.

The rfl do not call someone as unfit and proper person on a whim, if as you allege others were involved how come it was only Neil that got done, face facts Jim that no matter which head you have on its a fact.

It is sometimes better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt !

Just keep taking it one game at a time, there's a third of the season yet to go.

Things could change for the better very quickly.

Batley, Toulouse and Whitehaven are winnable. Leigh are having a bad patch so we could get something there. We can't expect to get anything out of Fev and Barrow. It could be down to a really heroic effort against Widnes to keep us up.
