I think if I say anything else I'd just be wasting my time with you lot, I'll just start slagging you all off and calling you names as it seems thats all you want to do. But anyway, if clubs like York and Leigh want to go down the route of a tie in with a Super League club, that's up to them, it'll be them that benefit, the clubs who refuse the offer of help from clubs who have much bigger resources will suffer and end up scratching round for players. If you where a young player, would you go to the club with a tie in to a SL club or the one 20 odd miles away with a pisspoor 3rd tier coaching setup?
York still have scouts, reserve squads, scholarships etc and a massive schools programme that has seen thousands of kids introduced to RL, we also have 3 quality amateur clubs within the city boundaries, each operating sides from U9's. York will be fine for decent local players, we might just help some Super League clubs along the way, that's all. In the past few years, Hull FC, Hull KR, Leeds, Wakefield have all signed players who are now 1st team regulars, that's not bad thing in my opinion.
