It's going to be a long, hard season and we are going to get a few tonkings.

However we've not lost any of the players capable of making the step up and made some quality signings.

Dewsbury have lost their talisman so I don't think they'll be anything like the force they were last season. I think Batley and Sheffield are there for the taking as well.

We're obviously favourites to go down but if we can win half our home games, win a couple away and pick up some bonus points we've got half a chance.

This division is extremely competitive and it's anyones guess who will win it. Both the teams you mentioned as there for the taking were the best two teams in the second half of the season as far as points gained were concerned, and Sheffield in particular were a very decent team last season. Batley have recruited well and will not be as easy as you think.

I wish you well next season, but think you will find it a bit of a struggle and be surprised at the level across the division.

If we start on minus points, as some are suggesting, we had better win a couple more than we expect!

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity

Precisely.

I'll support Cougars, just as always, through Mick O'Neill's speeches at the end of Cougarmania, through Mike Smith's unjustified rant at Bradford Metroplitan Council, through watching a team of amateurs (apart from Karl Smith & Phil Stephenson) at Oldham, through the embarassment of losing nearly every game last time we were promoted and watched Gary Moorby get the blame because we weren't ready (allegedly)
This time we were supposed to be...
To be frank, someone's full of b***poop. It's not the team who play their hearts out, it's not the coach, any ideas who?
And to be frank, anyone who is an apologist for this situation has to explain themselves as well. That's you GW...minus points on promotion? That's worse than last time. Who we going to sack next? Baz? Beacuse the board have once again shown themselves incapable of running an RL club in a sustainable manner?
Will restructuring replace the points deducted?
Was the Grand Final that much of a gamble that our club is at risk again?

And yes, that's emotion and anger, because having shut up and stopped criticising the Board in the past because it seemed we were going places, it appears genuine supporters have been conned again. The last thing I need now is an independent forum becoming the apologist for this state of affairs.
I'll continue to support, I'll go buy my season tickets, but isn't it the time for some transparency, particularly after the comments on this forum directed at Geteshead, Celtic, Leigh et al.
Pot, kettle, guess what - we're no better...

MikeDCougar it would appear you think i am a apologist for this situation.
If that is the case then you are very, very wrong.

I am telling people that the club will not fold. That the club will move forward and we will not lose players or our place in this league.

At no time have i said or implied, that people were right in the action they have taken.
I am just as angry as the rest of us to find out what has gone on.

The truth will come out and then people can make up there own mind, as to what's gone wrong.

I wont be able to make any more post for the most of today, as i am going to Leicester for a conference.
