Can i just say a few words re. your debate, in hindsight it probably wasn't a good idea as i felt all it did was rake up past history and with things still pending it probably didn't do anyone any favours, Stealth Comic, you are quite correct it wasn't an attack from behind, albeit, it was certainly pretty cowardly, and the lad certainly paid the price by missing a grand final because of it.
Secondly, the match commisioner did raise the matter to York and was asked if they would like him to put it in his report, they rightly declined thinking of it as mildly amusing.
Guess Who, i appreciate your thoughts on the matter and have to compliment you on the impartial way you have debated this and trust that a certain amount of thought by the club may go into any repeat in the future.
Goosey, I commend your thoughts and motive, but agreeing to pay any fine is probably not the right way of going about things, as your colleague as already pointed out, the RFL are trying top promote the game as a family sport, and actions such as this could dissuade impartial supporters from attending matches.
