we arrived late 5 min after kick off i nearly parked were the people got clamped,i then managed to squeeze on the 1 pound car park last place in there,so the people who got clamped had nowhere to park,and must have been later than us.i can assure you everywhere we looked to park was chocoblock with widnes cars.

I despise rogue clampers but they must be hired or be given permission by someone. I assume the owners of the business properties are trying to keep access clear but some of the signs are not very well displayed. Maybe it should be taken up with them; they might be as angered by this as us.



Its a poor do that fans (or anyone) is treated in this way, but I have to take exception with one of our "fans" who chose to use this as a public platform to have a go at our club and speak in the most derogatory terms about one of the management team. We ended up having a blazing row.



Even if I agree with some of what he said, there is a time and a place for such things.



Situations like this are bad enough for those involved and maybe those fans with issues should take it up with those concerned face to face.

People anger needs to be directed at the government.



They are the ones who allow it to go on.

I too hate these clampers having been clamped in past although not at cougarpark, to the best of my knowledge the section of road from the business premises whose name I do not recall comes up to edge of royd ings and warning signs are halfway down the road in question, the reason for being halfway down is probably to catch cars out as clampers are ruthless and out to make money and by god do they.



I fail to see how anyone can think the club should be blamed for this in anyway shape or form, at this game and others announcements were made a few times giving car details then after a while further announcements made advising the cars had been clamped the club did all it could as far as I am concerned.



That being said maybe if someone available on matchdays could stand by the area concerned advising folk failing that a sign/billboard advising folk, usually car park is manned by folk in hi vis coats but yesterday there was not, that does not mean folk should wear hi vis just an observation.



Its annoying clamping goes on but as companies that clamp cars now have to be licensed and it may be worth asking to see the license to see if if it is fit for purpose.

Just to let you know after the Batley game we did do some signs and they went up again yesterday morning, however i was told this morning that someone had been seen taking them down.



We will see if we can get something more permanent done and maybe speak to the opposition club in future.



Some people just have to spoil everything.

It does make you wonder if something cynical has gone on there.



Whether the clampers have seen this as an "opportunity" shall we say.

Of course they have, its almost luring the victim in the way it is. No way were they blocking any activity in or out. Rich pickings at £160 per time hey.

IIRC there are signs on the fence and on the gate aren't there?



I think it pays to be vigilant, unethical as their job is, these bar stewards make a living from it so they're bound to be ruthless.
