Let's be honest here the vast majority of teams play with 2 hookers in the 17.Why? Because the hooker does more running than any other player on the field whilst scampering round to be receiving the PTB every tackle we have the ball.
Is it necessarily a bad thing for Jamaine being the interchange hooker? No. I don't think it is. For example James Roby won the man of steel in this role with Keiron Cunningham at starter.
Modern Rugby League is a 17 man game. Substitutes aren't there because they and as good as the starting 13 like in the past. They're there to have an impact on the game
