It was a good yet exhausting weekend. Te place Toulouse is really nice and clean and despite the beer being dear it did not spoil the experience.
The folk of Toulouse were very friendly and I hink that I was close to being fluent in french by time we left
The game itself was again there to be won, sadly we seem to be weak defensively down the side where Tom Burton and Craig Moss are, maybe moving players around may help shore this side up.
Despite having a fair amount of possession Toulouse defensive efoort was very good.
The fact we came from so far behind was fantastic and at the end were far the fitter looking outfit.
Like Barry says in the paper we have to start games as we finish them because in my view we are not switched on enough.
At time we played some good rugby my man of match was Danny Jones, despite moving to full back he dictated the game for us. The Toulouse player deserved to be sent off.
There was no one that had a bad game in my view just some basic errors cost us. In light of the fact we seem smaller in some areas than others would it be worthwhile Judo lessons being used purely for tackling the big lads by using their weight against them, I remember Andy King using this technique to great effect.
I was good to see a decent contingent of fans from the cougars and at the end of the game the players came over and Danny Jones in particular thanked us for coming which was a nice gesture and very much appreicated.
All together now we're on minus 8 we're on minus 8
