Keighley were in control from the word go and were intent on getting their 2nd win in 4 days following the win in London. Indeed they were 10-0 up in 5mins with tries from Jack Copperwaite and Ashley Honeyman. The visitors then had their only decent spell of the 1st half, and their number 9 came closest to scoring. But on 12mins Jack Copperwaite then score his 2nd try and collected the ball from a Gateshead kick in his own ingoal, ran 60yards, before passing to brother Joe to make it 22-0. Tries from Andy Maguire & Josh Taylor (2), and 7 goals from Callum Hudson made it 40-0 at the break. After the break, Llywelyn Chapman scored and Sam Walker ran full length of the field to touch down under the posts to bring up the 50. Then Maguire scored his 2nd. The only blot was Josh Ireland been sinbinned for dissent, but by now there was a new game, called lets keep the 0. To their credit Gatehead battled on, but the Keighley defence held firm, and Chris Burgoyne kicked the ball clear of the Keighley try line and with a second kick, and the aid of a nice bounce, scored. Then Charlie Eccleston scored on the side and Sam Walker completed the rout. Hudson added 3 more goals, and in addition never put a foot wrong and had an excellent game to earn man of the match.
