West Hull came to Keighley looking to cement their playoff place, while Keighley looking end their season with a win. The match was a very even contest though out and it wasnt until the final couple of minutes the winner was decided. The Green & Golds took the lead with a unconverted try, but Keighley battled back and on 11mins went in front with a try from Ashley Honeyman, converted by Callum Hudson, then on 21mins, Charlie Eccleston put Keighley further ahead with a well taken try. Wests reduced the lead to 2 at the break, then after the break scored 2 converted tries go 20-10 up, but Sean Kelly went over for a try and with Hudson conversion, made it 20-16 with 20mins to go. It was then end to end rugby, but Keighley had the most possesion of the half. Joe Copperwaite had a couple of decent chances, as did Simon Bolton. Try as hard as they did, Keighley could not get though, and in the final couple of minutes, a very relieved West Hull made the game safe. As the full time whistle went, it also signalled the end of junior rugby league for a number of players. Joe Copperwaite, Andrew Maguire, Charlie Eccleston, Andrew Howson and Simon Bolton to name but afew.
