Keighley Cougars and Castleford Tiger fans that are going to be at CougarPark for the Carnegie Challenge Cup Fourth Round tie will have something extra to look forward to ā an arm wrestling challenge between Cougar mascot Freddie Cougar and Tigersā furry leader TJ.
Freddie, who has just undergone a rigorous six-week fitness campaign to keep his job as Cougarsā mascot, has thrown down the gauntlet to his opposite number at the engage Super League club.
Freddie said: āIām feeling on top of the world after taking so much trouble to get fit.
āItāll be interesting to see whether I can beat JT and what ever happens we hope itāll be entertaining for the fansā.
Helen Carter, the Cougarsā General Manager, said: āWe want to make this Carnegie Challenge Cup a great day out for all the family.
āPeople like to watch activities involving the club mascots and it will help entertain people during the halftime interval.
āWeāre really proud of Freddie now that heās really fitā.
