Bingley-based company joins Keighley Cougars. : Mon May 18, 2009 10:03 am
B&W Plant Hire and Sales Ltd., of Crossflatts, Bingley are the latest company to join the family of sponsors at Co-operative Championship One Rugby League club, Keighley Cougars.
To mark their support of the Cougars B&W Plant Hire, whose head office is in Blackburn, have placed an advertising board in front of the north stand at Cougar Park.
The board was unveiled this week and B&W’s Bingley depot manager Mark Smalley and his Sales Manager Dave Leyland dropped into Cougar Park to see their board placed in position behind one of the goal lines.
Mark said: “Helen Carter from the Keighley Cougars approached us at exactly the right moment because we were looking for a way to market our company’s services and make more people aware of what we can offer industry in the Aire Valley and surrounding districts.
“We believe that by associating ourselves with Keighley Cougars our company will achieve a far wider recognition and, at the same time, make a contribution to sport in the area”.
Helen Carter, the Keighley Cougars General Manager, said: “We’re delighted that B&W plant Hire and Sales Ltd., have come on board with the Cougars.
“They are a progressive, ambitious company which mirrors our approach to both Rugby League and business.
“We hope that this is the start of a long and fruitful working relationship with B&W”.
And B&W were soon in the swing at Cougar Park as they sponsored the Cougars ‘Man of the Match’ award at last Sunday’s fixture against Swinton Lions
