Keighley Cougars have signed Huddersfield Giants centre three-quarter
Tom Burton.
Tom becomes the second player the Cougars have recruited from the Giants and he follows his former teammate Sam Crowther to Cougar Park for 2010.
The 21-year-old centre that scored 20 tries in the Giants Reserve Grade
during the year also spent some time on loan with Doncaster in the
Co-operative Championship in 2009.
Tom becomes the fourth new player to be recruited by Cougar Head Coach
Barry Eaton since the Cougars gained promotion by beating Oldham in the
Co-operative Championship One Grand Final at Warrington on October 4.
Barry Eaton said: "I've been very impressed with Tom. He's a good six
foot tall and very strong.
"I've watched him several times and he can do a great job for us in the
Championship."
Burton becomes the fourth new player to sign for the Cougars since the
Grand Final victory.
Besides Burton and Crowther the Cougars have also recruited Castleford
Tigers second row forward Richard Jones and Craig Moss, a utility back
from Hunslet Hawks.
