OT: Americans = : Sun Dec 06, 2009 10:21 am
Not Rugby related but to change to conversation and pass the days whilst the club does what it has to do, how about a moment to decide do Americans say ""Do as I say not as I do?"
The Americans are protesting and upset about the trial of Amanda Knox
Who knows if she is innocent or guilty, but the main gripe of the Americans is normally Jury members are not only allowed to read press on the case prior to and during the trial but it is almost encouraged in Italy. Yes it could and probably did effect the outcome of the trial. Ok no damming forensic links or motive but it is their legal system.
The Americans should be thankful that Italy does not have the death penalty.
The Americans can’t criticise another Countries legal system when they admit to using water boarding as an interrogation technique in there own legal system.
The Americans also protest 26 years is too long for Knox when they want to extradite a Brit with asperger's syndrome and put him inside prison for 60 years for hacking into a computer.
