Someone told me on Sunday, that part of the seating area in the main stand has been condemned.

If this is true then how many seats cannot now be used?

Section nearest bar had no-one in it for Saints game.

When I was clearing snow it was cordened off and to be honest the timber looked rotten.

So I guess you could put 2&2 together from that.

Nah, it just means that some of the bourgeoisie are going to have to forego their prawn and cucumber ciabattas and slum it with us in the Jewson.

The ground is starting to look very tired - the wooden stand must be a liability and even the more recent hall of fame bar and executive lounge need work. Putting things off untill "tomorrow" just makes things worse and makes the hole you dig for yourself bigger to climb out of.

I hope the new directors have contingency funds.

Once again money is going to be the route of all evils.
As you say the ground is looking well past its sell by date.
The only trouble is, doing any small amount of work on the main stand. Would be like using a corn plaster, where a bandage is needed.

IMHO the only sensible solution is a new stand, which in times of recession may be very difficult to realise.

I'd say a new limb is needed.

There has to be some serious planning now to replace the stand.
