On Friday 12th March, Freddie Cougar and Keighley Cougar player's Brendon Rawlins and Jonny Presley attended Greengates Primary School who were holding a sponsored fun run. Mrs Patricia Gavins, Headteacher ran the Keighley 10 km this weekend and decided it would be fun to organise one in conjunction at school. The children helped Mrs Gavins train by running the course most lunchtimes.
Mrs Gavins said "We invited Keighley Cougars to open our Fun Run on Friday 12th March 2010. Jonny Presley, Brendon Rawlins and Freddie Cougar interacted with the children and ran around the course." The fun run was the centrepiece of an afternoons sports activities promoting healthy living whilst supporting Sue Ryder Cancer Care and The Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
