What difference does it make who refs, no one is ever happy with the refs anyway. As soon as the ref blows for a penalty, the opposition want one straight away, not for foul play but because they think the ref is preferring the other side.
I am a rugby fan, and i have been to many games, and yes there have been incidents where I have shouted at the referee for missing one thing or another, but then I think hang on, at least he is out there doing it.
If many of the people at matches were referees, they wouldn't have a clue.
So does it really matter who the ref is??????????????

Of course it shouldn't. But Keighley and Halifax don't seem to do as well as normal when Ronnie Laughton is refereeing their games.
