Keighley Cougars held their annual tackle tournament on the 30th June at Cougar Park.

Teams from across Keighley took part in the Year 6 tackle tournament. Merlin Top and Settle Middle School got to the girls final and it was the Year 6 teams from Oakworth and Nessfield who got to the final of the boys tournament.

Both finals were played before the Keighley Cougars v Featherstone Rovers match on the 4th July. Settle Middle School won 10-1 in the girls final and Oakworth won 7-6 in the boys final.

All four teams were presented with trophies and runners up medals at half time of the Cougars game.

Community Development Manager Tom Hall said "It was a fantastic tournament with every team putting in good performances, everyone who took part should be really proud of themselves."
