As part of an oral history project, Huddersfield University has interviewed around 100 people (players, referees, administrators, officials and supporters) from the world of rugby league in West Yorkshire and put the most interesting of them together in a book called "No Sand Dunes in Featherstone".Among them are eight people who either once played for or had strong links with the club (Albert Eyre, Derek Hallas, Fred Halliday, David Ingham, Roger Ingham, Garfield Owen, Brian Smith and Frank Wagstaff).
The book which also includes contributions from Ken Dean, Harry Jepson, Billy Thompson, Harry Waring and Dave Woods is now available in Reids Bookshop.
