First of all, well played to the amateurs, they gave it a damn good go. Their loose forward had a really good game and their stand off looked lively.

In defence I thought we did well with the exception of the early line break they created.

In attack I though we were poor, I'm concerned at how many passes went astray, how much ball was either dropped or lost in the tackle. These are basic fundamentals we have to get right.

Hutch, who was the best player on the park today, returned a line drop-out for a try that was reminiscent of someone like Dante Hall or Jacobie Ford in the NFL, pure class.

Brendan Rawlins ran riot in the last quarter, I'd love to see him be like that more often.

Its only the second game of the year.
Things need to be ironed out and these are the games to do it.
Its a work in progress

I also thought the amateurs did really well.

I wonder if it would be better to have it as a midweek game next year.
I would imagine a lot of the players around town don't want to play to games in a weekend. It may also make it a better crowd.

I thought the amatuer side played very well espically in the first half. To keep cougars to 24 points in the first half was great. 2nd half fitness told and the fact like guess who stated most of the team would of played yesterday.

The cougars played well for most of the game. Gave away alot of penaltys and dropped alot of ball. Shold be a good test against Hunslet. They will need to be better than the first two games.

I enjoyed the game.
It was great not to have any dodgy fans there as well.

I was impressed by the Amateur Select team as many of them had already played one match that weekend. Well done. Well done to the fans who came to watch as well.
