Hi, I’m just a keen Rugby League fan. Will Keighley be playing next season? I see they are in the fixtures so I may of answered my own question.

we have about 6 players, no coach, no training planned, no backroom staff, no manager, no ground staff. What we do have is an owner who never speaks, doesn't pay anyone and runs an 'asset stripping company'.

Through some miracle we do get a squad together I would expect to finish bottom 3 at best. At worst we are being liquidated, I fear the latter is only a matter of time.

Phoenix from the flames, absolutely. But i think we need 12 months of planning, not 2.

I still think that if Shane Spencer can be removed and the players paid we could pull together a squad fairly quickly but time is running out. If we are to fold and return in 2020 then so be it, I just hope it doesn't lose us to many fans.

In fact Keighley Cougars is lucky to have Mr Spencer he brings business nous and toughness that has been lacking over at Cougar Park for years and success will follow if you are patient.

why doesn't he pay the staff then? Business nous, more like borderline criminal. Repeated resignations from the LTD company, no press releases etc...He cant even spell Keighley right on twitter. Sounds more like an ape than business savvy. He clearly either got lucky in business or is a ruthless asset stripper, either way i cant see a particularly bright future. Im not bothered how moral his other business dealings are, but surely to prove himself as 'fit and proper' he needs to at least pay the wages.

'New coach announcement next week' apparently. Well we already had one and he is still owed money.

There is no new coach. It's smoke and mirrors like when they promise the players will "definitely be paid".

It’s a strange situation isn’t it? What do you seriously think will happen? League one may struggle with 10 teams

I don't think anyone has any idea what is going on. When do the RFL release the years funding? We're still in special measures so as it currently stands, unless it chances very soon, we won't be able to fulfil fixtures.

BD20 is right there is no coach, I don't think we are allowed to hire one anyway or sign anyone new.
