Hi folks

Last year, I posted a list of pubs for all fans to refer to if their feeling thirsty in Edinburgh. With Murrayfield Magic just seven days away, here is a selection to choose from:


Abbotsford Bar & Restaurant, Rose Street, EH1

Cask & Barrell, Broughton Street, EH1
Cafe Royal, West Register Street, EH2
The Guildford Arms, West Register Street, EH2*

THESE TWO ARE NEAR HAYMARKET STATION

The Murrayfield Bar, Roseburn Terrace, EH12*
The Roseburn Bar, Roseburn Terrace, EH12*
Winston's, Kirk Loan, EH12 - This one is actually in Corstophine, which is one mile from the stadium.

Meant to be good for all bars there, still deciding if I am going yet though

Hugely overrated. Outsiders get funnelled towards the Haymarket bars and clubs which are average. Sound around the city for pubs, but never found anywhere decent later on at night when I've been.

I suspect they just tell tourists etc these bars and clubs are good to keep the decent ones to themselves. Either that or the locals are all just fighting in shop doorways on Tennants Super in the time old Scottish tradition.

Seen it on tv before it always looks very good and my cousin has been before. Supose you have to find right area.

Cardiff was fantastic though, wish it was still there.

Heard the road running parallel to Princess Street (think its George St) has a few pubs on it or in and around there.

6 of us going up there.
