Cas Away : Sat Apr 04, 2009 5:36 pm
At last the fixture has arrived. Really looking forward to this one, they are in form and it's set for a top notch game.

May have a few extra options open with George, Petersen, Drew and Martin. Depending on fitness levels obvs.

Would like to see Petersen play, maybe swap him for Murphy. May seem harsh but Petersen adds extra size to the team and can help in the forwards a lot more which is what i think we will need against Cas.

And as for the fans, hope we take big numbers to cas and PLEASE can we all stand down the sides instead of behind the sticks. That way we can make more noise.

cant agree there adam murphy hasnt done nothing wrong too warrant dropping i went to the a team game today and petersen took his 2 tries well but looked well short of being up to super league pace was caught out for 1 try unless he genuinely is that slow id give him a couple more games at lower level then reaccess injuries permitting

Agreed, you can't drop Murphy just to bring someone back unless he needs time off for injury or whatever.

How was the reserves, e.g. Winterstein, returning players, etc?

Thats the only problem, Murphy has been playing very good and has clearly improved in pre season. I just think we will need someone to take some work off the forwards like Peto does. I do agree though it would be harsh to drop him.

moore was the best of those returning looked to run hard good offloads and generally put himself about i should think he would be able to give the 1st team a good 20 minutes spell each half sooner rather than later

winterstein showed some nice touches looks like he has a good pair of hands but he tired towards the end of the game left with cramp with 10 mins to go or so might be better with better type players around him

petersen took his 2 tries well but looks off super league pace at the moment was caught out for 1 try where he was easily out stripped for pace id certainly be making him earn his place cant really drop murphy so he would be in the a team again next time out for me

these are only my opinions some others may see things differently

Where will people be standing?

Would you come and stand down sides ala Hudds and FC? Would create a lot better atmosphere imo as there is cover. :D

For me, this is a big test. A side in form with the fire of a local derby. Should be great!

Agree With Opinion On Winterstein,, But Leaving 10 Minutes Before The End Is Good Saying He Played Full First Half And Half Hour Of Second Half,, Without A Rest Is Pretty Decent For A Second Rower.
But I Do Agree,, Looks A Strong Runner And A Good Offloader
Looking Forward To Seeing Him Play In Super League :D
