She was the link between the old Britain and the new. People will soon come to realise what a buffer she was against all forms of extremism.

Elizebeth Windsor had a good life and a long one and in that respect there is no need for sadness.

Queen Elizebeth II the institution is a huge loss - I find it impossible to believe we will ever again find anyone who was simply happy to serve. No ego, no dogma, just the Queen.

For 32 years I served her after taking the oath what a privilege to serve such an outstanding dedicated Public Servant RIP Ma'am.

I share your comments RWB I served 13 years in HMF and was equally an honour and privilege to serve her Country. RIP Ma`am .
