The Specials changed the course of my life (they blew me away on Rock Goes To College, which got me into the mod/ska thing, which got me into a certain group of friends, etc). No other band did that. Saw them in 1980 at Bridlington Spa. Will be at the Manchester gig on 4th May, and giddy about it, but worried it will shatter my memories.

A sign of ageing: upon realising that I couldn't get a ticket for the standing/dancing area and had to sit down, I thought "oh well, at least I'll have somewhere to put my programme."

it wont shatter any memories terry hall was ultra cool and he aint aged or got a beer belly, dont worry iwas in my wheelchair and all the other giddy kippers dancing un prancing had me going too
