actually singling out gleeson or grix wasnt the point we got caught by a very obvious game plan wigan had, which was to go very wide early, they did it from the second play the ball, they also left their wingers out on the touchline and relied on very quick accurate passes, its a dangerous game as it leaves you open to missed passes and interceptions, as we also saw.
Grix is clearly a confidence player, and has lots that asset.
gleeson kept gettign causght between interception attempts and having actually nothing to do because the tactic removed him from the play.
Blance got caught too infield twice too close to his own line and ainscow had a blinder!
the real point at the end of the day was that tompkins played better than the more experienced imnpact players we have, who to be fair had to do more today because of circumstances.
