I dont mean to be rude but there is a list ... a rather big one and half of them are at Huddersfield to give you a clue... Then there is currently the best full back in SL at the mo at Hull KR... But if you do want me to name a few players then here you go ... Briscoe, Brown, Robinson, Wild, Hodgson, Aspinwall, Goulding, Long. Ill chuck Gilmore in too as you also like to flog off decent players when you buy them as well...
Briscoe-left because at the time we had the best fullback in the England ahead of him and he decided to leave to further his career.
Brown - was terrible in his last year at Wigan, still not that good now, good natural talent but since he has left we have had Trent Barrett and now see the emergance of Sam Tomkins and Tim Smith at 6, i means its not like either of the last 2 did you any harm yesterday is it?!
Robinson- left for non rugby related resons.
Wild - was on fire when he made the scene, had a bad injury ruptured his achilies and on return had 2 poor seasons, good for him he has recovered but at the time it was the right decision to let him go.
Hodgson - not a patch on what we have at the minute, knew his way to the line but not a top player by any stretch.
Aspinwall - see Hodgson but remove knew his way to the line.
Goulding - still a Wigan player, unless we are talking about Bobby in which case he could not get a game at Wigan.
Long - was told by the best specialists in the country his career was over, on that advice he was released. Hindsite is always 20/20 and was looking back a poor move but the advice at the time pointed towards him not being able to have a top career.
Gilmour -Wigan tried to retain him Bradford offered much more.
This kid must be the find of the season. How Noble can expect us to believe he was gonna play carthorse carmont in his place is ridiculous. How many tries is he gonna total now Wigan are hitting a bit of form? Score double what you let in, seems a pretty good ratio to me. Any chance of a lone deal once Carmont pushes him back into the reserves?
Carmont is a centre, Ainscough is a winger...Two totally different positions.
Yesterday was the only game that Ainscough hasn't played outside Carmont this season.
And that 'Carthorse Carmont' was in last years dream team.
Been raving about him for a few years now, the lad has it all except the height that is always going to be a weakness when dealing with the crossfield kick but it is something his coaches are going to have to work out how to deffend.
I have mentioned him on here and got slated for bigging him up but in Tomkins and Ainscough we have 2 very special talents, Sale have been courting Ainscough already and have been for a couple of years along with another Wigan Junior Thornely I just hope we can keep these in the game, as if they do cross codes it would be a tragedy for SL.
Here we go
As noted, his life was made extremely easy by Blanch inability to stay on his wing - odd how you don't mention hi lack of height was cruelly exposed twice. Let's not get carried away, he's a good winger but he will not be world class IMHO.

As pointed out there have probably been a couple of errors in hindsite, but i defy any club not to have made a few errors in the same timescale of over 20 years on recruitment!!

He won't like that
Think i clearly pointed out that his lack of hight has been exposed and is a weakness, one of the major points i made.
Its also funny how in his debut season he is at the moment the top try scorer in the comp, all the other wingers must also be giving him an easy ride too.
I take your post as one made in ignorance as that can be the only explanation, or bitterness.
The lad has the potential to be up there with Robinson and Offiah once he works on the errors he has in his game.
I have seen him tear the best the Aussie juniors had to offer to pieces in the Academy tests, i have seen him make a mockery of the junior grades and he is now doing that in SL.
I find it sad that you cannot appreciate quality players especially juniors from other clubs. At the moment the most pleasure i get from the game is watching the junior talenent come through and seeing how they develop, sadly i see in you a person constantly trying to shoot down any young talent that does not play for Trinity at every opportunity.
Regards the "he wont like that" remark, i do firstly it shows a total lack of ability to recognise what a talented junior is and secondly gives me an insite into your motives which point to just how blinkered you truely are. I infact love it, and i love watching this kid play.

Well of course it would be jonh as it clearly isn't your opinion thus it doesn't count.
"The lad has the potential to be up there with Robinson and Offiah once he works on the errors he has in his game." so do most wingers, I'll be impressed when he does - not before.
Thanks for vindicating my post and proving once and for all that you simply can't tolerate an opposite point of view. Instead the typical 5 year olds hissy fit kicks in - good man.
Note to know it all jonh - I never actually said he wasn't any good did I, I simply suggested he had an easy ride which he did and that his lack of height was an issue, thus IMO (opinion you know something others have) he won't be world class - live with it.
Not wanting to get dragged into one of those Vastman vs Jonh arguments but I will say I watched this lad yesterday and thought he has some developing to do but looks to have tremendous potential.
I looked at him yesterday and thought with a bit more time under his belt we could have a new Jason Robinson.

No Vasty you tried to point out the fact that i never mentioned his weakness under the high ball due to his stature, which was one of the key points i made.
Opinions are fantastic i just think you are ignorant of him as a player if you cannot see he has the potential to be a World Class winger. That is not a criticism as you seem to have taken it, just that you have noot seen enough of him to be able to give a valid opinion of him. I have been watching and championing the lad for the last 2 + years seen what he can do against the best in the world at his age group and the rest of his peers domestically.
The Aussies were raving about him out there including all the NRl coaches after his display in the second test in Australia, still what would they know.
Seems to me Vasty you are one of a small section of Trinity fans who have bought into this small club syndrome, where you feel you always have to have your back to the wall, and are unable to credit other clubs/players and are always looking for someone in Trinity colours to compare them to.
Wakefield are a great club with what now looks likely a great future enjoy it rather than looking to use it as ammo. I wonder if you come on here to post about rugby or to try to enhance some sort of reputation as a bit of a character.
Regards most young wingers having the potential to be like Offiah and Robinson, well that really is a very sill statement to make.

I think the parallel is a cross between Robinson and Carney. He has a very simillar style to Robinson brought about by his stature (but due to him being short he will never be world class just like Robinson was not either ) but he is naturally more powerfull than Robinson more in the Carney mould in that respect. What sets him apart from both is his personality, unlike Robinson and Carney he is a very aggresive player and while it can be his downfall at times he has a bit of mongrel in him which i like.
