Just watched the highlights video and he is very impressive!
What an acquisition he would be for Wakefield Trinity, he has an excellent left and right foot step, seems equally adept carrying the ball in either arm whilst using his free arm as a very strong hand off. Whilst not being blessed with blistering speed he doesn't seem to lack pace.
As some people have said already some of his offloads are extraordinary yet he seems to make them look easy whilst having the intelligence to pick his time to pass or not as the case may be.
To cap it all off he seems to have excellent defence and is a sizeable athlete who would be a difficult proposition for anybody.
If the Canterbury Bulldogs are letting him go they must be absolutely crackers or have the second coming of Mal Meninga up their sleeves.
I sincerely hope that we have secured his signature and that he isn't going to the Bradford Bulls. If we do keep Ryan Atkins then what a centre pairing they would make, as good as any team in the league.
As for Damien Blanch, he is hoping to be at Wakefield next year and Wakefield are hoping he will stay. He has recently (this week) had an operation on a shoulder and his knee is mending very well.
