Being on TV does probably have an impact. Bad news is potentially we could be on 4 weeks running. Hull,Leeds at Murrayfield and Bradford are 3 games live on sky within 4 weeks. The other remaining weeks is the round after next which if we get past Harlequins we could draw someone and be on BBC.
6 wins is good, the performances haven't always been. We're winning, but winning ugly - good for the diehards, but, coupled with the prices, won't attract the floating support. A good cup run (to Wembley, please) would help a lot!
who would care if we won ugly all the way to Wembley we did in 79 we only scored 46 points in total V Fev Oldham Barrow and Sts ugly will do for me if we keep winning
Comparing the attendences with the corresponding games of last year shows an increase! ........2009........2010 Sal – 6,578........4,883 – 1,695 Cat – 4,807.......5,818 + 1,011 Hud – 5,037.......5,237 + 200 Lee - 6,425.......9,783 + 3,358 Cas – 8,371.......8,337 - 34
2009 Total 31,218 avg = 6,244 2010 Total 34,058 avg = 6,812 + Avg of +568 per game
not bad when you look at it still think the club could have done more to boost the gate V Salford

We all need to do something, we need to encourage others to come, the fact is unless it happens the sustainability aint there, the promos work really well but i think you bring a new fan, you indoctrinate em, they stay,
Club can not be expected to give deals all the time, especially when secondary sales do not benefit them properly.
It devalues the ticket, plus is unfair on season ticket holders

1st two of those games are away so no detriment to our own crowds and are a chance for us to put a show on for armchair supporters to see how good we are and try to attract them to the following games, Bradford is always a decent attendance anyway whether on TV or not, the prior performances will determine just how good that attendance will be.
Just a thought on the admission fee, there are some inside the club who feel that the £20 headline fee and £2 discount for early purchase is the wrong strategy, most regular fans will either be s/t holders or will buy their ticket early to save the £2 so no real extra income from existing supporters for raising the gate fee and the £20 headline fee puts off floating/away/new fans.
I'm very happy with the results so far (except Huddersfield) I dont think the win ratio will continue in the second third though.. anything can happen, this is Wakefield!
can only see us getting 2 from that lot, think bradford will settle soon with orford and co
I wouldn't be surprised with anything from 2-5 out of that.
Wigan I'd write off as a loss, we'd have to really improve on recent grubby wins to beat them at theirs. Best hope is that playing Saints took it out of them, although I fear anything our players held back on Friday may have been used up over the weekened.
Leeds, Bradford and Hull are all winnable on their current form. However, taking a pessimistic view (harder to shake off the longer-term Wakey fan in me), Leeds are likely to improve. Bradford have shown glimpses of quality, with their star imports starting to gel with a fairly underrated & mainly British pack, although I still think they're weighed down with some crap in their team and a poor coach. As for Hull, I've not been overly impressed by what I've seen, but they've had some decent results despite that so far and will probably only improve as players gel.
Crusaders and Harlequins are two games we should be winning, so that makes them exactly the kind of game Wakey lose.
