Certainly isn't silverware winning quality which is the aim this year.

Collectively they'd get paggerred, but I'm sure we could rotate two or three into our squad without our team looking "weak"

I think our team has rotated itself naturally up to press with the odd niggle here and there.

I'd ideally like to see moors and mcshane have a little time off, but I think we will be at almost full strength for Wakefield purely cause everyone wants to start Easter with a win

yeah, I think mcshane has looked a bit jaded recently so he can play, moors.....nope, he needs a rest..:)
tbh, not to suggest Cas would be canon fodder without him but I think its up in the air a bit if Gale doesn't play.
Wakey have nothing to lose, they're not expected to win but they haven't been expected to win any, so business as usual.
Dunno about the pies, I suppose they'll be watching last seasons game before the match for.....motivational purposes...lol

As well as it pains me to say it, our dear neighbours are playing well, they didnt look unbeatable the other night.

As for the depth of their squad, I have doubts of their quality here, and I think the friendly against them proved that

DP always picks his best possible team for the first easter game and leaves it to the players to put their hand up for the second.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Re: Team for the bank holiday games : Mon Apr 10, 2017 6:49 pm
Both sides will play their best sides for this game , absolute madness to suggest resting players and using them for the second game. Plus from a Cas angle, I doubt powell will make too many changes over easter, chase may play longer minutes, Webster and Monaghan may play 1 game each and the bench may start the second game and springer may play longer but I really don't envisage us using the majority of players Fully suggested.

A second half which consisted of a team of our Under 19s plus Chase and a spell of 1 or 2 others doesn't really prove anything other than that you played well when we had about 13 first teamers off the pitch. Which isn't going to happen unless we suffer an injury crisis of epic proportions this season, and certainly not before Friday.

If we take the first half, we wiped the floor with you, when it was our first team.

Interesting piece with Lynch in paper today, where he explained that Powell has said he will give everyone a rest at some point and that's why he has sat out. Doesn't want anyone playing 35 games.

That's why I think we will see changes if we win on Friday. Definitely think that all our main first teamers will see action across the weekend.
